About Us

Advanced Dental Designs (AD2) was founded with the single purpose of improving worldwide patient care by providing affordable, precision quality dental equipment.  We know it’s a big goal, but at AD2, we like challenges. 

AD2 was originally founded by Dr. Robert Williams, a leading orthodontist known globally for his teaching of goal directed treatment emphasizing the concepts of functional occlusion and the TMJ.  Despite his extensive teachings thru the years, he found that many doctors were unable to implement these new treatment techniques due to the cost of the articulators and related equipment.  After years of working abroad, Williams, along with Dr. Domingo Martin and other noted orthodontists, were able to design and manufacture the first articulator prototype. Today, Advanced Dental Designs products are available direct to the dental community, creating beautiful smiles around the globe.   

Knowing that great companies are only as good as the people behind them, AD2 has recruited some of the best and brightest minds around.  Our engineering and manufacturing teams are headed by 23 year industry veteran Carlos Cruz, a fixture in the dental articulation industry.  Carlos most recently was with Panadent Corporation for 20 years, where he was responsible for all design and manufacturing of their product line.  

Rounding out the management team is Dave Williams, a long-time technology executive whose focus is sales, marketing and business operations. Most recently, he was with Google for 3 years, the result of a small technology company he was with being acquired for over $475M in cash and incentives.  Williams graduated from the University of Southern California and received his M.B.A. from the Wharton Business School.

With offices and manufacturing in both California and Hong Kong, AD2 is geographically positioned to service the world.  Like we said earlier, we’ve got some big goals, and AD2 is the company that will achieve them.
